On July 17, 1996 TWA Flight 800 exploded in the evening sky off Long Island. It broke in two and plunged into the Atlantic Ocean, killing all 230 people aboard. Conflicting reports of the cause included a bomb, a surface-to-air missile or mechanical failure. Charges of a cover-up still remain.
Flight 800 is dedicated to all who lost their family members, as well as the friends and associates of all who died on this catastrophic flight.
